On a fresh launch of the app it occasionally will no recognize a single-click on the mouse. I have to double-click every menu option to get it to register. This happens about 50% of the time. So I just close the app and re-launch it and it recognizes the single-click again.

[0.0.7] I came here to say this exact thing. I would like to add that it appears to be about every other time I launch the game. Also, I am on a M1 Macbook Air running macOS Sequoia 15 Beta 6. Hopefully that helps, didn't see the need to make a new post about it.
