so, I was off in search of 0 | ZZ/AAA just out of random amusement. I was doing so while waiting for a research task line to finish. I didn't really have a heavy load running, as I'm not even out of the tutorial stage yet and in fact had had all lines stopped except the sole one left going. and I'm only on medium graphics. so basically my computer wasn't exactly over-taxed with tasks while I was doing so. I was scrolled all the way out on the map and was zooming north as fast as it would let me go, I think I was around the T's or U's. suddenly I get a pop-up notification from discord, just some random person posting in a group I'm in/don't have muted. the exact moment that pop up happens, I stop moving on the map. my game is frozen. turns out, my discord is also frozen. my internet is frozen. even my instance of Paint was frozen. literally everything on my computer was frozen from this other than letting me switch screens, but I couldn't do anything, not even close things out, and it stayed this way a good few minutes until I reset my whole computer. and, yeah, that did fix it, but there was also some weird startup wonkiness I don't know how to describe that I've never seen before. and this is a fairly new laptop, so I don't think it's anything like that at fault here. like, I'm not upset, just, that was one heck of a consequence of getting a pop up while far off on the map, so I figured I should report it.

Hey, we currently don't unload "chunks" that you visit until you exit the save game, so exploring very very far (such as ZZ|AAA !) just keeps loading chunks into RAM, which explains why your system froze like that as it probably was heavily starved for RAM. We simply haven't implemented it yet as player's don't have much need to explore that far out (and if you were to build something, it'd take quite some time to deliver it to the vortex)! I can totally relate to the amusement/curiosity point, just thought I'd explain why this happened :)
