Hey, I am a new player and I don't know what should I do exactly. Can you guys give me advice?

i think you're gonna have to be more specific... are you following the tutorial?

No. I got out of the tutorial. I am in the liquids and color change. I am a bit confused because the game looks a bit easy(I am just waiting for the missions to finish). I think there should be more to do. I have tried to make some blueprints but is there anything I can do other than that or what would you recommend me to do? Thanks! @fringe swallow

i might not be the best person to ask if you're finding it that easy, because i've barely unlocked paint and i'm finding it just about right on normal difficulty

how long are you waiting for milestone steps to complete? and how many belts of operator shapes are you delivering? you could try scaling up your factory to see how fast you can go, or challenge yourself to create more efficient/compact/aesthetically pleasing blueprints

if your current settings really are too easy, i'm sure either hard or insane would give you something to scratch your head over — like i said, i'm not that far in, but from what i've seen from other people in the community, it gets pretty serious further into the game, when you start dealing with pins and crystals and whatnot

The difficulty comes primarily from 2 places

#
  1. Intrinsically:
  • "I want to make a blueprint that does this function in that much space"
  • if you find your current design requirements too lax, you're the one who can enforce stricter qualities, like "I want flexible inputs" "I want overflow handling" "I want to keep every belt's processing separated"
  1. Extrinsically:
  • These are the campaigns. Milestone 1-8 in normal are pretty simple, and 8 gives people some pause at times, but that's the easiest of 4 available modes, so there's plenty of goals to tackle

There are difficulties (island cost, blueprint cost, goal multipliers)
And then there are scenarios (the milestone campaign, side tasks, and different mechanics such as default available buildings, layers per shape, or quads per layer)

#

The difficulties are mostly just a preference thing

#

The scenarios are the "real gameplay" / goals
