As shown in screenshot, most text is coming up as plain black which is hard to see. In tutorial videos I can see the white/orange it is supposed to be.

Although having done that I get an error saying my graphics card can't handle shaders and my milestone/task shapes aren't visible

You should be able to view them properly in the shape viewer by clicking on the "shapes", at least as a workaround.

-force-glcore worked for me, however I had to set Space Background to low. Nothing is visible when it is set to medium. Shaders and effects at high doesn't work. But hey game is now playable.

However, there are issues even though the text is now visible

Game ran fine without the force settings except for text. the force settings fix the text but now there are other visual issues.

agreed, -force-glcore gives me white text back but the game is then a lot more laggy and broken. Without it, it runs fine and the only issue is it's hard to read things. (N.B. I run my game on minimum because gaming on a macbook is a terrible life decision)
