I actually had the same crash-on-exit when playing on my linux laptop (my original report was on a windows desktop).
So in my case I don't think it's related to DX11.
This got me thinking though: I run Cloudflare Warp on both machines, so I wonder whether that might be confusing the telemetry send that seems to happen on exit?
Anyway, I'm going to try disabling the telemetry for now and see if that helps.

Hey, yeah the crashing/very long freezing on "exit to desktop" seems to be related to the analytics we use. Either going to the main menu first and then exiting or disabling analytics should work. Please let us know if neither of these helped, as it might be something in that case! (and make sure to provide your player.log from: #❓faq message)
