I'm playing via Steam on Flatpak on Ubuntu 22.04. Instead of selecting the system default audio device, the game selects the first available sink. This would not be as big of an issue if I could change it in the game, but alas there's no option in the game to select the audio output device.
As of right now, the only option I have is to route the audio manually to my preferred output device (IE: using Helvum).

This is a duplicate of #1273606035646578689, a few workarounds have been listed there.
It is annoying, but at least you don't just have to route audio manually with pipewire.

I searched for "Linux Audio" to see if anyone else had this issue, but there's no fuzzy search here...
I am a bit disappointed with the wontfix tag on that issue. IMO having an audio output selector ingame is not unprecedented, even on Windows.

Read through the thread; it's not something the devs can easily fix
