I've encountered a scenario where the end-of-belt preview of the produced shape doesn't show up. See the screenshot, the star on blue circle has no preview. Already tried restarting, as well as tearing down the stackers and rebuilding that part by hand. While rebuilding it shows the stacker output preview before I place it, but once I place the stackers that part of the network no longer has a preview. (If you need additional screenshots to figure this out, or a backup of the save, let me know what you need.)
#[0.0.7] end-of-belt preview doesn't show
10 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
I've run into this, when flinging into the vortex, but deleting one of the belts and replacing it has fixed it the times it's happened to me.
Or - as I just noticed, it happens when I use trains and we're in between deliveries - even if the belt is still filled, if the "start" at the train is not activally exporting then the preview disappears.
Are you using any wiring/logic on your belt?

I'm not yet.
no, don't have that unlocked yet
The preview is already gone by the time I place the stackers, so the problem is not restricted to the vortex drops. If a particular belt has broken/stale data and needs to be replaced it'll be hard to find. The blue circle and gray star lines by themselves do have the end-of-line markers as seen in the screenshot, just if I branch off of them I don't get a marker on that branch.
noticed there is https://discord.com/channels/1000343719314198548/1273753731913224242 which is already under investigation, uploaded a save backup there since this particular instance seems pretty isolated and keeps happening even when rebuilding parts of it
I think I've seen similar things, but never consistent enough to know for sure what's causing it and why it sometimes fixes.
Indeed a known issue, please provide a savegame so we can investigate the cause. The Predictions are still buggy and we will continue to work and improve them. To identify possible edge-cases we looking at these scenarios.
