Not sure what this is supposed to do. I'm on Arch Linux.

What's the intended behavior? Is it supposed to open a link in a browser?

yeah it should lead you to this discord

Almost looks like a bug with xdg-open?

#

But that's been around for ages and very thoroughly tested, so I struggle to accept that

Arch Linux doesn't have a standard set of applications built-in to open links. It may be something specific to Arch, or even my setup

#

Could you send me the xdg-open command that gets called?

#

Actually, it looks like it might not fail, but rather just be extremely slow... let me check something

Yeah I think it's working, it can just take >10 minutes. I checked another proton steam game, Reventure, and it didn't have this problem. I also restarted Steam in case it was a Steam issue, but no dice.

#

But could also be that it's sometimes slow and sometimes crashing--I'm not sure.

Just going to note that the button worked fine for me just now (NixOS, KDE Plasma 6, Wayland)

On my Arch/EndeavourOS, XFCE, Xorg machine all the buttons leading to websites work fine.

We have updated our Unity engine which apparently fixes some Linux related issues. You can find the beta version of 0.0.8 here #✨updates message

Would be interesting to see if this issue still exists.

I believe for that one we found using Steam Linux Runtime 3.0 was helpful
