See image, deleting the unloaders doesn't change anything, nor does deleting the other train stop. Deleting the section of track immediately before thet train unloader allows the train to move and loop around the track (second image). Train also gets stuck with modified track shown in 3rd/4th image.
#[0.0.1] Long trains get stuck in this corner
13 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
testing momentarily with shorter trains
smaller trains were fine, and now ive ended up back on the same setup and it appears to be working fine?? maybe i had a bugged track piece
nothing seems to be in logs (except some weird invalid shape key spam) so idk what happened
can reproduce the same effect I think by editing a blueprint code to make a rail not accept any colors similar to how a splitter branch would not accept any color, now the question is how do you get such a rail only from the game
oh maybe i accidentally added a single colored rail?
i never intentionally use the colored rails so that def could be the case
colored rails only seem to have an effect on splitters (i.e. it seems like placing one regularly makes a rail that accepts all colors)
controlled z and i do have this weird one uncolored type of thing
so that makes sense, no clue how i got it there though
i found a second one, and i think its a place where I had dragged the track over it to replace it, im thinking maybe something about the sequence of replacing tracks and placing trains? i can try to test some more later
I had similar bugs happening the past days, and I could only reproduce it by merging/splitting colored rails, and accidentally dragging "one" tile straight ahead.
I am still not sure if there is a bug or if this is user error. I am also having a closer look
