what are those black islands? "Storage" islands. Because what do you do to painted shapes when you don't have the capability to paint them? You store them.

The unconnected islands are modular islands in-development

I guess I could have not ripped out the original mining platforms to make room for my (dubiously efficient) factory, but that's how I played it.
At least I am not throwing away anything, (no halves destroyer) eh?

I find that the point of the game is to manage rates rather than quantities though, so storage is mostly irrelevant until intermittent forms of transportation are introduced.

There's no need for storage since resources are infinire
