#Can the belt launcher/catcher distance be shortened

When I choose the belt launcher, the catcher is automatically place 7 squares away and I can't figure out how to change the distance, either before or after I place the launcher. If I choose a catcher, the launcher is automatically placed. I know tunnels were similar in shapez.io 1 but IIRC the distance was fairly easy to change. Is it not possible to adjust the distance of belt launchers

the distance of tunnels is variable
the distance of launchers is static

and the equivalent to tunnels from s1 are the space tunnels, which have have a variable length

They are already shorter in the latest alpha but we don’t plan changing it right now

they dont mean "can the static distance be made shorter"
theyre asking for it to be the same range but also able to be made shorter, like tunnels from s1

the yeeters aren't meant to replace the tunnels from S1, that job is left to the multiple layers
