When zoomed out (approx 40-50% zoom) the half-destroyes show the wrong side being destroyed (the blue marking on the half destroyer).

Is-State:
The first image shows the threshold zoom-in state where the blue markers correctly indicate the part of the piece being cut.
The second image shows the threshold zoom-out state where the blue markers show the wrong part of the piece being cut.

Should-State:
The half-destroyer indicates with the blue marker, the correct part of the piece being distroyed, regardless of the zoom level.

The piece is still being cut correctly regardless of the zoom.
The game settings preset "Low" was used. System: Laptop + Windows.

I understand that the animation is removed when zoomed out for performance purposes, but wrong indications make them difficult to use on large monitors as you tend to be zoomed-out for large portions of the game. On my 2k monitor, I in fact make everything above this 40%-50% zoom threshold.

After checking some more with other elements that have the same half-blue semicircle indicator (such as cutters where this phenomena also occurs btw), it looks like the threshold is where the polygon level for the circles gets reduced to octogons. I don't know how this game is programed, but if you have seperate models depending on the level of detail (LOD), you might need to check if every sub-element in these mini 3D models is being correctly rotated.

This looks like it might be an optimisation that this lod level doesn't have rotated sub-parts
But since you aren't really that zoomed out at this point, I agree the lod should still show the correct side at this level
(Maybe if [game designer] want a further out lod with incorrect blue, just remove the blue from that lod so it isn't in the wrong place)

On which graphic setting do you have your buildings (medium, high etc.) ?
