It's pretty evident what is happening.
I expect this to happen with other discrete graphics, such as my i5-1135G7 with Intel Xe Graphics
Apparently Intel Xe graphics is completely fine! Although I get 12 fps on the title screen.
The game should not default to max settings when you launch it. Although this does give you a rough idea the equipment you would need in order to fully enjoy it
#[Alpha 13] VRAM Error on AMD Ryzen 5 PRO Radeon 4650U

And it's not like this system is incompetent, either. I can run GTA 5 on this
And I have ran earlier Shapez prototype on this
This have 16GB of RAM. That's more than some desktop computers
VRAM Error on AMD Ryzen 5 PRO Radeon 4650U
[Alpha 13] VRAM Error on AMD Ryzen 5 PRO Radeon 4650U
I .. hm.
I dont think it have dedicated VRAM. Maybe it does.
But regardless I think you should use the "total memory" field. Or at least let me attempt to launch it instead of just say "no your computer suck go play roblox"
I remember running earlier dev version on this platform with no issues
Still present in alpha 14
Can you run it with --ignore-hw-checks ?
what is the tim.. oh you are in germany,
Yes yes hold on a second.
Wait does that mean .. oo no steam checks
It does have steam checks. Thought I could keep them archive
sad
... oo startup settings page. nice.
Yeah, I can get it to run that way. Getting 35-36 fps on LOW preset in settings.
If I don't have anti aliasing I get 4 more frames
And just for proof, I'm putting everything to max (beside anti aliasing), still get 18 fps
it's working! and apparently yes, it have two memories
very working. still multitasking easy
Was able to put it in windowed mode after I reduced the settings (to medium basically)
I got this from console:
Vulkan - Out of memory when trying to allocate swapchjain staging image
doing the reverse (un-windowed mode) at max settings will also crash in pretty much the same manner.
I have 16GB of RAM, and even with the game running I still have 4GB extra for allocating to graphics. The fact that it didn't spike up in task manager indicate probably a bug. Although it could just be the problem with the funky Radeon "graphics"
this Vulkan error actually happens every time resizing occurs regardless of the actual graphics complexity. Although reducing graphics complexity didn't really reduce VRAM usage, either.
Quater/half res texture anytime?
sticky boarder when inside windowed mode still works, though. very cool.
While yo uhave 16GB of ram, it looks for your GPU only 512 are reserved. So you have to check how you can increase it
no -- the GPU have 512MB of dedicated VRAM
And it can allocate another 8GB on top, hence the two memory graphs
Intel Xe does not have any dedicated VRAM (unless desktop), so it don't have the "display memory 512MB" field, and instead just use the 8GB one
ah, I see
